Fabricator

Job Description:

We are looking for a fabricator who has experience with basic power tools and reading a tape measure. Onsite job training will be available. Ideal applicant must be able to read a tape measure down to 1/16th of an inch and has basic math skills. Must be able to pass a drug screen

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Read work orders to determine size of fabric cuts
• Accurately measure and cut fabric to specified dimensions.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and machinery. Specifically, fabric cutter and wedge sealer
• Primary job responsibilities include cutting woven acrylic and vinyl fabric down to 1/16th of an inch and using a wedge sealer to seal fabric together.
• Assist with quality control by checking measurement and finished product to ensure organizational standards are meet.
• Assist with grinding metal frames when work is available
• Enter stop and start times on a computer to ensure schedules are accurately maintained.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols. Daily cleaning responsibilities will be assigned.
• Ability and willingness to assist other departments to meet schedule deadlines when called upon.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area.
• Other duties as assigned.

Physical requirements:

• Able to lift 50-75 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to kneel, bend and stand up to 8 hours per day performing various task.
• Ability to reach horizontally across a work surface 12” from body up to full body extension.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma required.
• Ability to accurately read, understand and demonstrate how to use a tape measure to the nearest 1/16”of an inch.
• Excellent decimal and fraction mathematical skills.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Must be drug free; drug screening required.
• Must have valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.

Working Hours

6:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Thursday. Overtime possible.
